I was commissioned by Creative Mischief to help produce new packaging for a regional brewery here in Atlanta. As with most of my works a pencil sketch on tracing paper is how it normally starts. Forms are really rough and as you can see here originally I had lotus flowers in mind. Later on in the inking phase you can see that these were changed to hops to more relate to the beer.
Here I am trying to find a way to believably show a side cutaway view of the pond. In the end I really liked the results.
